An important study, published by the international journal Science, has tried to reveal the secrets of an artist’s successful algorithm.
The data analyzed involved over 16,000 galleries, 7,000 museums, 1000 awards at auction houses, 143 countries and over 36 years of data collection.
Scholars have reconstructed and analyzed the career of over half a million artists active between 1980 and 2016, discovering that those who have made their first 5 exhibitions, in museums and major galleries, have had a path and a rise much more faster and bigger than other colleagues.
